This is the Last Year

You see all your friends this is the year before its over
The last year always changes with every class

You don't ever know what is going to happen
What happened was for a reason
This is the year the homies come together

Before the end
But it's not for us
We will be here for all time to come

Excerpt from Dangerous

Ring, ring ring! It was time for lunch. The class walked to the lunchroom stunned by what he said. They had pizza as big as their desks. Dangerous sat at a table. Then a girl with dark long hair sat next to him.
“Hi, my name is Power, just like your sister,” she said with a smile on her face. “We are different, I can see that. Dangerous, I see how different you are from all the other people.”
“Yes, I am different from all of ya’ll. You have not seen different yet. You will see.”
Power said, “Why did you come to this school in the suburbs?”
“So I can be better and do better in class and school. I have something to tell you. You are the only one I am going to tell this to,” Dangerous said.
“What?”
“Back in my old school people didn’t like me.”
“Why?”
“Things happened. They think I did it because my name is Dangerous.”

How You See a Gun

What is a gun?

It is just a thing people hold

like a baby

For what? To help them

solve their problems

but they make it

worse for

themselves

All you need is your words

they change the world

faster than a gun

No one can make you pull the trigger

That’s your choice

The gun is just an

instrument

Did you see DR.

Martin Luther King Jr. with a gun?

He used his words

For all of his to bring us together

That is why we don’t need a gun

Just words

So we can be like

brothers and sisters and helping

one another

Would you shoot your brother or sister?!

Nobody says so!

Every one is your

brother and sister

We must act

like it

Change must come with

Your words!
